Our Story
Hope City Church started in 2015 with a simple dream: to create a church where everyone belongs. What began as a small gathering of 30 people in a living room has grown into a community of hundreds across Austin.
We're not a perfect church—we're a church full of imperfect people learning to follow Jesus together. We believe that real life change happens in the context of authentic relationships, relevant teaching, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, returning after years away, or looking for a new church home, we'd love to meet you. You belong here.
To help people find and follow Jesus.
To be a community where everyone experiences the hope, love, and life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
Our Core Values
Everyone Belongs
No matter your background, you have a place here. We're all on this journey together.
Authenticity Matters
We don't pretend to have it all together. We create space for real questions and honest conversations.
Love in Action
Faith isn't just about what we believe—it's about how we live. We serve our neighbors and city.
Growth is a Process
We're patient with each other. Spiritual growth takes time, and every step forward matters.
What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the ultimate authority for faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again.
John 3:16Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Ephesians 2:8-9The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, serve, and share the gospel with the world.
1 Corinthians 12:27Eternity
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—the saved to eternal life, the lost to eternal separation from God.
